How Stockbed works

Propagating & planning

Sowing and sticking plans, propagation methods, trials and contracts — what you are growing, how much of it, who it is for, and when it will be ready.

Product & inventory

Every batch, location and movement recorded once, on a phone in the tunnel with no signal needed, so the count is right before anyone quotes it.

Sales

Availability lists, trade orders, click and collect and the till all draw down that one number, while contract stock stays held for its client — and a trade order can go out with a Stripe payment link, paid into your own account.

Availability + orders

The morning list, done by eight.

Not a feature list — the actual jobs that fill a Monday. Every one of these is a job you can do in Stockbed.

Stockbed, can you

Or just ask.

Type it, or say it the way you would in the yard. Stockbed finds the plant — misspelt, half-remembered, in whichever pot size — shows you the change and waits for your tap. Update stock from the phone in the tunnel; ask for labels at the desk by the printer.

Availability

The availability list, built once.

Your live list updates itself as stock moves — share it as a link or a branded PDF with your trade prices on it, and stop re-typing the spreadsheet every Monday night.

Stock

Stock you can actually sell.

Holds, quotes, trade orders, click and collect and the till all draw down the same number inside Stockbed, so it never promises the same plant twice, and stock is pushed out to Shopify and WooCommerce — while a maturity gate keeps next spring’s stock out of this week’s list.

However you sell

Built for the way your nursery actually trades.

Wholesale, retail, contract growing, or all three in the same week — it is one stock number underneath, and the parts you do not sell through simply stay switched off.

  • Contract growing

Plants grown to order for a named client, with the batches attached to the contract: what was committed, what is growing, what is ready and what has gone out — and none of it offered to anyone else.

  • Wholesale only

Trade prices by quantity, minimum orders, account terms and a live availability list to send. No shopfront to maintain, and no consumer pricing anywhere near it.

  • Wholesale and retail

Trade prices and gate prices on the same plant, drawing down the same stock — so a Saturday at the gate cannot oversell Monday’s trade order.

  • Click and collect

Orders taken online, collection slots booked, and the stock held against the order until it is picked up rather than counted twice.

  • Imported and bought-in plants

Receive a delivery, keep the supplier, the cost and the passport with the plants, and sell them from the same list as the ones you propagated yourself.

Trade orders

Never chase an order again.

Every trade order carries its own state, its own paperwork and its own money. You stop holding it in your head, and nobody has to ring the office to find out where it got to.

The plant record

Built on the plant, not the SKU.

Generic stock software knows a line and a quantity. Stockbed knows a batch — where it stands, what it cost, what it’s allowed to be sold as, and everything that has happened to it since the day it was stuck.

A batch is the unit, not a stock line. Started, potted, ready — each stage recording what went in, what took and how long it took. That is what turns a strike rate into a real number rather than a feeling.

Stockbed membership

From £605 a year.

Priced on how many ways you sell, not on how many plants you grow. Plans run for twelve months and are billed yearly — £605 on Stockbed, £869 on Stockbed Plus. A free consultation and setup to begin with, and support from our team seven days a week after that.

Bring your list. We’ll do the import.

Four thousand lines in a spreadsheet is not a reason to stay on the spreadsheet. Send us the one you use now and it comes back as live stock, with your plants, your sizes and your prices already in it.

Your data is yours. Your plants, your customers, your prices. Export everything whenever you like, as one file, and take it with you if you go. There is no lock-in and there is no export fee.

Built with growers. Every screen in Stockbed exists because somebody was doing that job by hand, in a tunnel or an office, with a spreadsheet open in front of them. Priced so a one-tunnel nursery can afford it, and set up with you when you run several sites.

Before you ask

The questions growers actually ask.

  • One system for running a plant nursery or a cut-flower farm — batches, stock, availability, trade orders, contract growing, payments and the compliance paperwork, in one place. It was built with growers who sell to the trade, to the public, or to both.

  • A spreadsheet doesn’t know a plant is still growing on, and an EPOS doesn’t know it came from a batch you stuck in week 34. Stockbed holds the batch, the maturity gate and the passport underneath the sale — so the number you sell against is one you can actually trust, on every channel in Stockbed.

  • Per nursery, on how many ways you sell. Stockbed is £605 a year and Stockbed Plus £869, both including 3 team members, with extra seats at £60 a year. Plans run for twelve months and are billed yearly. To change plan, talk to us. Card fees stay with Stripe or SumUp at their rates — we don’t take a cut.

  • Yes, and we’d rather do it for you. Send us the availability spreadsheet you use now and it comes back as live stock, with your plants, sizes and prices in it. Or import it yourself from the desktop app.

  • Yes. The mobile app records batches, losses, sprays and scout reports offline and syncs the moment it finds signal. That’s the whole point of field mode — the people doing the work are the ones furthest from a desk.
