How it works

Plant passports are generated from the stock they describe. Passport labels come out of the label designer complete — sections A to D and the batch trace code — printed to PDF or a sheet printer such as the OKI C711. Thermal printers (a Toshiba BA410T or BA420, or a ZPL printer like the Label Station Pro200) print a fixed layout from the Mac desktop app.

Spray records are logged where the spraying happens, on the phone, with the re-entry window worked out and shown to anyone who might walk into that tunnel. Scout reports for pest and disease sit in the same place, so a problem in June is still findable in October.

Compliance documents raise an expiry alert 30 days ahead, so you hear before something lapses rather than after. And batch and passport labels carry a trace code that scans back to the batch’s record.

Field records work with no signal. Record it in the field, and it’s on the office desktop by the time you’ve walked back.

The parts that do the work.

Pillar 07

Compliant, and field-ready

Plant passports and spray records built in — and it works with no signal. Plant passports, trace codes and spray re-entry windows are part of the system, not a spreadsheet beside it, and passport labels come straight out of the label designer. Out in the polytunnel with no bars, the app still records — and syncs the moment you’re back in signal.
