Every batch, from the day it’s sown
The growing side of the business, written down properly — so what’s coming is a number rather than a hunch.

A batch starts the day you sow or stick it, and stays with you through potting on until it’s ready. Each stage records what actually happened: how many went in, how many took, how many you lost, and how long it took to get saleable.
Do that for a season and you have the two numbers nurseries almost never have — a real strike rate and a real days-to-saleable, per variety and per method. That’s what turns next year’s sowing plan from a guess into a plan.
Planning starts before anything is sown. A wishlist becomes a seed list, and the seed list becomes a potting-on list, so the plan and the batches it turns into are the same record.
The propagation method library holds your “how we grow this” so it doesn’t only live in one person’s head. Task templates turn it into a daily list for the team, and trials keep new varieties separate until they’ve earned a place on the bench.
Standing jobs keep the routine work turning over — a bench count, publishing the availability list, chasing what’s owed. Before you switch one on, Stockbed shows the load it will add, in jobs a week, and how long any backlog will take to clear. It makes jobs for the team and never sends anything to a customer by itself: a payment chase arrives as a draft for someone to send. Dismiss a job as “not now” or “too often”, and the second stops it asking.
Not everything is propagated here. Raise purchase orders to your suppliers and book deliveries in with the barcode scanner in the app, and the supplier, the cost and the plant passport stay with the plants. Imported lots carry their passport details from the day they arrive.
Cut-flower farms get the same spine, tuned for succession: sowings scheduled three weeks apart, harvest records that become the cut list, and a view of what’s coming.
The parts that do the work.
Every batch, propagation to saleable
Started, potted, ready — with the maths done for you. Track each batch through every stage, with strike rates, days-to-saleable and losses recorded as you go. Know what’s coming, how much of it, and when it lands — months before you have to promise it to anyone.
On your nursery
2,000 cuttings stuck in week 34. 1,740 struck. 1,690 potted on. Ready the following May — and the availability list already knows.

Never oversell again
One live stock number behind every channel in Stockbed. Shop, phone, website, marketplace and trade all draw from the same pool. Holds, quotes, orders and the till reserve against it the moment they’re raised — and a maturity gate means you only ever sell what’s actually ready.
On your nursery
A landscaper rings for 40 of the 3-litre Photinia while the list is showing 60. You put them on hold, and the list and the till drop to 20 before the call ends.
3L Photinia ‘Red Robin’
Maturity gate on
840 growing on are withheld from the list until the batch is genuinely ready.
