Not the alternative.
You’re weighing this up already — against the spreadsheet, against the shop you’ve got, against doing nothing. Here it is written down.
- vs a spreadsheetIt does the maths and never goes stale.Availability, cost and stock update themselves — and won’t promise the same plant twice.
- vs generic e-commerceIt speaks horticulture.Maturity gates, batches, passports, grades, stems and bunches — not a plant bolted onto a T-shirt shop.
- vs five separate toolsOne stock record behind the lot.Your website, accounts and card reader, connected to one stock record that actually talks to itself.
- vs “we just know”The whole team sees the same truth. On the phone in the tunnel and the desktop in the office — even with no signal.
- vs starting overIt keeps your stack.Stock to the shop you already use and invoices to your accountant — connect, don’t replace.
What each one actually does.
The questions growers actually ask.
We bring your spreadsheet across for you. Send us the one you use now and the plant list, sizes and prices come back as live stock — you start with your own stock in it, not a demo one. If you’d rather do it yourself, the desktop app imports a spreadsheet too.
No. Your Shopify or WooCommerce shop keeps its theme, its SEO and its customers, and sales in your shop come straight off Stockbed stock. Stockbed pushes stock to the shop when an order is raised, at marketplace checkout, when a batch reaches saleable with auto-sync on, or when you press Sync. Square gets stock pushed from the same pool.
Yes. The mobile app records batches, losses, sprays and scout reports offline and syncs the moment it finds signal. That’s the whole point of field mode.
That’s where it started. Availability lists, holds, quotes, trade prices by quantity, minimum orders and account terms, orders on account, and on Stockbed Plus invoices into your accounts package.
Then you get the till, the gate, the storefront page and the same batch tracking behind it. Plenty of growers start retail-only and switch the trade side on later.
Passport labels come out of the label designer complete — sections A to D and the batch trace code — printed to PDF or a sheet printer, and the trace code scans back to the batch’s record. Thermal printers print a fixed layout.
On Stockbed Plus, invoices go out as PDFs your accountant can file. Pushing them to Xero, QuickBooks or Sage (coming soon) is coming soon.
You do. Your plants, your customers, your prices. Export everything whenever you like, as one file.
